There is a way to prevent deaths like Madisyn’s. She was living with her Dad and he heard her up in the early morning the day she died. Not knowing to check on her for suicidal ideation and her history on drugs he went to work. He came home later that day to find his daughter hanging from a cord.
She was hospitalized two weeks before her death for adverse reaction to lexapro and lorazepam (the family Doctor gave her). These drugs caused suicidal ideation. Despite this there was no family meeting and the Doctors continued on with the drugs that led to her death by suicide.
