SSRI’s- FDA panel discussion
Just watched the entire FDA panel discussion on SSRIs—an important conversation, and I strongly encourage others to watch it too. While it’s a small step in the right direction, the truth is we’re decades behind where we should be.
We urgently need independent, non-industry-funded trials on these drugs. We need real informed consent, honest and accessible labeling, and transparency from top to bottom. The public has been misled for far too long.
Let’s be clear: the FDA has shown time and again that it’s deeply entangled with the pharmaceutical industry. It’s hard to trust an agency that appears more interested in protecting drug companies than protecting patients.
These are drugs, not harmless “medications.” In many cases, they are harder to withdraw from and more damaging than street drugs—and yet they’re handed out freely, often with little warning of the risks. That should alarm everyone!
It’s time to stop sugarcoating this. The public deserves the truth. And it’s our job to help make sure they hear it.
